250+ pastors, pastors' wives, and lay leaders will gather for five days seeking encouragement and training to help their people find courage and peace on the journey of suffering and healing.
"Come Alongside" --- A Guide to Help Shepherd Individuals and Small Groups Toward Healing.
I AM SEEN. I AM KNOWN. I AM LOVED.
TLS will provide a two-day workshop for young women in challenging situations of pregnancy, reminding them of God's care for them, their value, and the reality of hope and purpose.
WHEN THE SOLDIER COMES HOME
Families and communities face the dilemma to adjust to the profound changes that have happened in all of them while unexpectedly and unwillingly separated, each enduring unspeakable hardship and suffering. TLS will provide a three-day workshop as together we ask hard questions and depend upon our Good Shepherd to find a peaceful way forward.
We are really happy to be part of this great God’s project and accept you here in Ukraine. “God is good”—we repeated all the time during the trips to Krakow and back, during the seminars, and during some rest time. These days were a real blessing with lots of useful information, communication and sharing from heart to heart. The material everyone got is really helpful for everyone personally and for serving people in home groups and different ministries in the local churches. In their feedback papers all the participants thank the organizers for the seminar— true and actual information. In the afternoon women had their private time with sewing and telling their stories. It was a very inspiring time and two communities have already had the idea to organize sisters’ ministries in such a way with different handicrafts and sharing their stories. It’s so powerful! God blessed us so much. We look forward to our future common missions and projects! Clear Vision Charity Foundation, Ukraine
“The people of Northern Uganda have suffered much and carry the memory burden of great atrocities and pain. Thrive Life Skills’ course about moving forward from trauma helped my people feel a difference in their lives. The people of Northern Uganda heard truth that gave us a way forward.
One man told me, “Neither is there enough alcohol in the world to make pain disappear . . . I only realized this after the teaching. I found a new way to heal.”
Because the teaching is relevant and bears fruit in our lives, we look forward to each return visit from Susan and Thrive Life Skills. (Fr. Simon Menya, Spiritual Leader and
Director of Northern Uganda Self-Sufficiency Project, Gulu, Uganda)
When Holding Ukraine was faced with the overwhelming requests for trauma and PTSD training, we turned to a trusted source, Susan Habegger from Thrive Life Skills, for her extraordinary dedication and compassionate service. Dave and Kathy Rohmfeld, Founder/Director of Holding Ukraine
I have been serving for 20+ years in Northern Uganda where civil war, poverty, and disease have ravaged the land and the people. My primary focus has been medical—however, I was very much aware of the great need for help with trauma and healing from the psychological suffering that everyone carries. I met Susan, the director of Thrive Life Skills, and the connection was immediate. Our hearts were on the same path to come alongside those who struggle to find some way forward. Now Thrive Life Skills enables Lift Up Uganda to fulfill its vision more completely. Susan has traveled with me to Uganda multiple times to hold workshops and seminars, including Moving Forward From Trauma, Discovering Our Identity, Entrepreneurship, Small Business Training, and Women’s Retreats. As leaders of nonprofits, we long to provide for the needs we see—needs that often go beyond our focus or expertise. Thrive Life Skills comes alongside to assist and provides experienced training for the nationals so they can minister to their own people. Thrive Life Skills and Lift Up Uganda will continue to work together for years to come—together we can follow God’s call to bring hope to the hopeless.

The impact of our teaching is multiplied and enlarged
when it can be left behind in book form as a tool for future use . . . And in one's own language -- That is a precious gift.
